Portable Granted N300,000 Bail, Makes A Social Media Post
Singer Portable has been granted a 300k Naira bail today and he has made a social media post few hours after.
Habeeb Okikiola, a.k.a. Portable, a Nigerian singer, has spoken out following his release on bail from an Ogun State magistrate court in the Ifo, Ifo local government area.
According to prior reports, the Zazu singer was taken into jail by the authorities on March 31, 2023, following a dramatic Thursday night incident with police officers at his bar.
He was then charged with three counts in court this morning, April 3, including assault and theft of musical instruments.
Magistrate A.S. Shoneye ruled on a request for bail presented by his attorney, stating that the offenses were bailable. The court approved N300,000 in portable bail with two sureties in the same amount.
The court decided that both sureties had to own land close to the court.However, the judge decided that Portable should go to the Ilaro Correctional Facility while his bail conditions are being satisfied.New pictures of the musician were posted on his Instagram page shortly after the court decision, along with a comment thanking God.
