Iyanya Reveals How He Lost Millions Trying To Feature Nicki Minaj
Singer, Iyanya has revealed how he was asked to pay around $200,000 to feature the superstar female rapper.
Iyanya who was explaining the growth of Afrobeat revealed that after his hit song Kukere, he feels his next single “Ur Waist” should go international, therefore Ubi Franklin suggest he feature Nicki Minaj.
Few days after the suggestion, Iyanya says they set up a meeting with one of the people on Nicki Minaj’s team and he set up to Atlanta in USA to do the meeting. He maintained that on getting to USA, the person started taking them to various nightclubs and when the day to meet Nicki Minaj came, he was asked to pay a sum of $200,000 dollars.

Frustrated, Iyanya reveals he calls all hi friends and colleagues and was able to raise $70,000 dollars but the female artiste management refused and that was how he lost the opportunity to feature the beautiful rapper.
So kukere was so massive we did all we could to get it out there and then came the pressure of the next single.

We had “Flavour” already produced and recorded but for some reason we felt it wasn’t the next single after kukere.
