I Knew ‘Timeless’ Was Either Going To Make Or Break My Career – Davido
Afrobeats megatar Davido has revealed that he knew his latest album ‘Timeless’ was either going to make it break his career.
He explained why the album is so important to his career while speaking recently on +44 Podcast.
It will be recalled that Davido returned to the music industry on March 31 with ‘Timeless’ after taking a long break from his music career.
The album has gone up to become one of the most successful Afrobeats albums in recent times, making and smashing records like being the first Nigerian album to hit number one on US iTunes and Apple Music respectively.
However, Davido knew exactly that the album is so critical to his career. He said on the Podcast that before the album was released he prayed and went to bed, wishing it would be a success.
He noted that the album was either going to make or break him, meaning that his career depended on the success of the album.
