‘Caro’ Changed My Life, But It Wasn’t My Song – Wizkid’s Former Signee, LAX

Popular Nigerian singer and Wizkid’s former Signee, LAX has revealed that the hit song ‘Caro’ changed his life, but it wasn’t his song.

‘Caro’, the popular 2013 hit song which brought LAX to limelight after he signed a record deal with Starboy Entertainment owned by Wizkid, wasn’t his song according to him.

He made this known in a recent podcast show tagged “Echoo Room” hosted by popular Nigerian media personality, Quincy Jonze.

LAX said ‘Caro’ was originally Wizkid’s song, but he gave him a chance to hop on it and that single act brought a significant change/growth to his life.

Narrating how he came to jump on the song, LAX said after he signed the record deal in 2013, he was confused about what song to drop, then he heard ‘Caro’ which Wizkid had already recorded and did a verse on it.

He said when Wizkid heard his verse, he was impressed and immediately called Moe Musa, a prolific video director, and shot the video next day.

He noted that he was in school in Manchester, United States, when Wizkid released ‘Caro’ and everything changed for him since then.
