Reactions As Victony Fires Shots At Wizkid After Being Accused Of Copying Him
Nigerian singer Victony has responded to accusations that he is copying Afrobeats megastar Wizkid.
It all began on Twitter after Victony posted a video of him dancing to his song in the studio. In the video he wore a singlet, baggy trousers and a pair of sunglasses.
After sometime a Twitter user reposted the same video and captioned it ‘I thought this was Wizkid at first sight’.
Another person then quoted the video and wrote, ‘He’ll come out one day and say “wizkid is not the source of my inspiration”’.
Victony saw the tweet and decided to fire back asking them how he is copying Wizkid. The ‘Soweto’ singer asked if it is because of the singlet or the sunglasses.

Some Wizkid’s fans were, however, not satisfied with Victony’s reply. They took to the comments section to call him out for ‘shading’ Wizkid.

r u people daft cant someone wear singlet n sunglasses again abi is it una papa dat started wearing it sef. u all will just sit down in one corner nd start vomitting every rubbish dat enters ure head just for stupid recognition.
