Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems has emerged winner at the 2023 BET Awards, as ‘Wait For You’ won Best Collaboration.
Future’s 2022 chart-topping hit ‘Wait For You’, featuring Drake and Tems, won Best Collaboration at the 2023 BET Awards held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday’s night.
‘Wait For You’ debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2022, making Tems the first Nigerian artist to debut a song at number one on the chart.
Tems has now won three BET awards so far. Last year she shined at the BET when she won the Best International Act award, making her the first female African artist to win it.
