‘Abracadabra’ Was My Song, But I Gave It To Rexxie – Skiibii Reveals
Nigerian music star Skiibii has revealed that he was the original owner of the song ‘Abracadabra’ but he gave it to Rexxie.
Skiibii revealed this for the first time while he on Adesope’s The Afrobeats Podcast, where he also talked about other things including how he manages his funds.
In late 2022, popular Nigerian Grammy-winning producer Rexxie released a viral song ‘Abracadabra’ featuring Skiibii and Naira Marley. Wizkid was eventually featured on the remix.
However, unlike many people’s thought, Rexxie was not the creator of ‘Abracadabra’. The song was created, wriiten by Skiibii, and only gave it to Rexxie after he begged for it.
Skiibii said he had finished recording the song when he sent it to Rexxie to listen but then Naira Marley heard and jumped on it. After then, he was going to release it, but Rexxie begged to leave it for him.
He also added that he didn’t charge Rexxie anything for the song because Rexxie had been a good friend to him.
