Davido Wins NMPA Platinum Songwriting Award For Co-Writing Chris Brown’s ‘Under The Influence’
Afrobeats star Davido receives an award for his contributions as a co-writer on American singer Chris Brown’s global hit song ‘Under The Influence’.
The National Music Publishers Association (NMPA), which certifies songwriters of RIAA certified singles, has given Davido a platinum songwriting award recognizing his role as a songwriter of ‘Under The Influence’.
‘Under The influence’ was released in October 3, 2019 with Chris Brown’s album ‘Indigo’, but it was around mid 2021 that it became a viral hit, setting different records.
The song was written by Chris Brown, Davido, and KDDO, who equally produced it; and it has gone multi-platinum in the United States, as well as other countries.
