Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ Tops Rolling Stone’s List Of Best Songs Of Summer This Century Ahead Of ‘Despacito’, Others
Wizkid’s global anthem ‘Essence’ has been declared the number one best song of the Summer this century by Rolling Stone, above other popular Summer hit songs like ‘Despacito’.
The global smash record, featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, came off Wizkid’s 2021 ground-breaking, Grammy-nominated album ‘Made In Lagos (Deluxe)’.
Ranking above other global anthems, ‘Essence’ was named first in a fresh list of the ‘Best Songs of Summer of this Century’ curated by Rolling Stone.
The list included 10 chart-topping Summer songs released in this century; other artists whose songs featured on the list were BTS, Drake, Lil Nas X, amongst others.
