Afrobeats singer Burna Boy has mocked the Nigerian government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over its threat to overthrow the new military government of Niger.
In a recorded Instagram live video shared on Twitter Tuesday (Aug. 8), Burna Boy reacts to the fuel hike in the country and laughs off the government’s plan to invade neighboring country Niger.
It’ll be recalled that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), headed by Tinubu, have threatened to intervene militarily in the ‘illegal’ take over of Niger by General Abdourahamane Tchiani.
Although, the decision that Nigeria would send her soldiers was rejected by the House of Assembly; the government has continued to receive backlashes.
Port Harcourt-born Nigerian singer, Burna Boy reacts jokingly to the issue, that amidst the fuel disaster in Nigeria, the government still wanted to go to war. And asks rhetorically how the soldiers would get to Niger.
