Asake Takes Home Next Rated, Album of The Year At 16th Headies Awards
Nigerian music star Asake won big last night at the Headies Awards show in Atlanta, taking home Next Rated award and Album of the Year.
Asake got to take home two of the most important awards of the show: Next Rated award, which comes with an expensive car prize, and Album of the Year.
He beat other such artists as Seyi Vibez, Spyro, and Victony to the Next Rated award; as well as Burna Boy, Rema, and Omah Lay to the Album of the Year award, won by his debut album ‘Mr Money with the Vibe’, released in 2022.
Asake, winning two awards, was among the biggest winners of the Headies last night, being surpassed only by Rema with three wins, and equalling Burna Boy and Victony with two each.
