Selena Gomez Wins International Artist Of The Year At 16th Headies Awards
Selena Gomez, the famous American singer and actress, won International Artist of the Year at the 16th Headies Awards show held in Atlanta.
The 16th Headies awards, which took place in Atlanta, America, last night (September 3), saw Selena Gomez emerge winner of International Artist of the Year, beating other artists like Ed Sheeran and Don Toliver to it.
She won the prestigious Nigerian award, thanks to her collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema on his song ‘Calm Down’, which became both the highest and longest charting Afrobeats song in the history of Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 3.
In other news, Rema was the biggest winner at the Headies last night, picking up 3 awards–Best Male Artist of the Year, African Artist of the Year, and Digital Artist of the Year–and also collected an other award (Best Music Video) for the video of ‘Calm Down’, the original video with only Rema, and shot by Director K.
