Mohbad’s ‘Blessed’ EP Enters US & UK Charts For The First Time, Charts In 14 Countries
‘Blessed’, the last EP by late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has debuted on US and UK charts for the first time, and is currently charting in 14 countries on Apple Music.
Mohbad was only 27 years old when he died after a brief illness on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. The Nigerian entertainment industry has paused ever since to mourn the singer’s death.
Before passing away, Mohbad, real name Promise Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, released an eight-track EP titled ‘Blessed’ on 30 June 2023. It was his final project, which came after he left his former label, Marlian Records, amidst mistreatment allegations.
The EP has now entered the United States and the United Kingdom’s Apple Music charts at number 108 and 111 respectively, marking the late singer’s first chart appearances in the two nations, according to Album Talks on X.
‘Blessed’ is currently charting in 14 countries on Apple Music, the post said.
‘Blessed’ comprises eight songs: ‘Beast & Peace’, ‘Sabi’, ‘Account Balance’ (featuring Zlatan), ‘Omo Mi’, ‘Blessing’, ‘La Pio Pio’, ‘Ask About Me’, and ‘Pariwo’ (featuring Bella Shmurda).
