Davido’s ‘Timeless’ Wins Album Of The Year At AFRIMMA 2023
Davido’s five-month-old album ‘Timeless’ has been declared Album of the Year at AFRIMMA 2023.
Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, was one of the biggest winners of the night at the 10th edition of AFRIMMA held on Sunday night (September 17) at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas.
The ‘Unavailable’ crooner, who dropped his latest album (‘Timeless’) in March 2023, won AFRIMMA Album of the Year award, beating Asake’s ‘Work Of Art’, Stonebowoy’s ‘5th Dimension’, Omah Lay’s ‘Boy Alone Deluxe’, Amaarae’s ‘Fountain Baby’, amongst others.
This is Davido’s first award for the ground-breaking ‘Timeless’ album, which, shortly after dropping, became the highest charting African album on iTunes, and also reached number two position on the US Apple Music Albums chart.
