Khaid Vows To Give Mohbad’s Wife 2 Million Naira And All Royalties Off Tribute Song To His Son

Fast-rising Nigerian singer Khaid has promised to give late Mohbad’s wife two million naira and to remit 100 percent royalties off his new tribute song ‘Forever’ to the deceased’s son, Liam Aloba.

On Tuesday morning (September 19), Khaid took to his X handle to announce his plans for the immediate family of his late collague Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, who died at age 27 on September 12, leaving his wife and their five-month-old son.

According to Khaid’s statement, Mohbad’s 24-year-old wife will receive the sum of two million naira, and the son, Liam Aloba, all of the royalties off ‘Forever’, the newly released tribute song he sang for Mohbad, with whom he was planning to collaborate before his untimely death.

He wrote: ‘It’s with great pain that I pen this, the past few days have been a rollercoaster of emotions for each and every one of us. We lost a special talent, a great personality and a friend “Imole”.

‘In my own little way I’ll love to support the family by giving N2 Million to the Wife of our late brother and covey 100% Royalties of the newly released tribute song “Forever” to Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa.’
