Listen: Khaid Drops Tribute Song ‘Forever’ For Mohbad
Nigerian rising star Khaid has released a tribute song titled ‘Forever’ for his late colleague Mohbad, who passed away at age 27 on September 12.
In a new post on his X page, Khaid vowed to remit all of the royalties off ‘Forever’ to Mohbad’s five-month-old son, Liam Aloba, in addition to giving the mother two million naira.
‘In my own little way I’ll love to support the family by giving N2 Million to the Wife of our late brother,’ he wrote, ‘and covey 100% Royalties of the newly released tribute song “Forever” to Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa.’
The tribute song, ‘Forever’, dropped Tuesday morning (September 19). Khaid had, in a post after Mohbad’s death announcement, said he and the deceased were about to work on a song.
The song opens with a voice message by Mohbad, saying he was surprised at the love shown to him. The voice message is said to be the late conversation between Mohbad and popular comedian Cute Abiola.
