‘I Can’t Concentrate’ – Sarz Reveals Why He Stopped Working With Davido

Award-winning Nigerian music producer Osabuohien Osaretin, well known as Sarz, has shared the reason he stopped working with Afrobeats megastar Davido.

Sarz, who spoke on Cool FM recently, said he and Davido have different approaches to work, and that though they have had studio sessions in the past, it never worked out due to this difference.

‘I think the way he works and the way I work are very different,’ he said. ‘I feel like that is a big difference.’

He pointed out that whenever he is in a session, he likes to work just with the artist, and if other people must be in the studio with them, there shouldn’t be more than two.

However, according to Sarz, Davido always had many people around when he worked, making him, who doesn’t enjoy many companies, lose ‘concentration’.

‘A lot of times when I get in a session with him,’ said Sarz, ‘there are just like so many people but I’m very used to working with the artist and maybe like two other people alone. So, when there is so many people, I can’t concentrate.’

He continued, ‘I think he feeds off that. So, it clashes sometimes. This is from perspective. I don’t know what he thinks.’
