“I Once Used Toilet Water To Soak Garri” – Laycon Reflects On Hard Times
Laycon, the winner of Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’, has opened up about the difficult times he faced before achieving fame. He revealed that during his time as a student at the University of Lagos in 2013, he resorted to drinking garri with toilet water due to extreme hunger and lack of funds.
Taking to his Twitter page, Laycon shared this past experience and mentioned that he had to use toilet tap water because he couldn’t afford sachet water, which cost 5 naira at that time. The 30-year-old reality TV star recalled that the garri he consumed had no sugar or groundnut, and as he soaked it, tears filled his eyes.
