What We Told Journalist That Looked Down On Wizkid – PSquare
Popular Nigerian music duo, PSquare have revealed what they told a journalist that looked down on Wizkid.
The PSquare duo said they knew that Grammy-winning Afrobeats singer Wizkid was going to be a superstar.
The twin brothers made this statement in a recent episode of The 77 Podcast, where they talked about being the first Nigerian artists to start global tours.
PSquare stated that they were never the type of artists who look down on anybody or up-and-coming artists. Peter then recalled what he told a journalist a long time ago when Wizkid was the opening act at one of their concerts.
He said that the journalists only focused on them at the press conference (which usually predates a concert). He told them they should give Wizkid some coverage too, that he’s going to be the next superstar.
Peter explained: ‘We were never the type of artist that looked down on anybody. If you remember, there was a video that went viral where it was PSquare concert and Wizkid was opening for us. So they kept on interviewing only PSquare, and we were like, “okay, guys, hold on. What about him?”. They said… I said no, this guy is going to take over tomorrow’.
