
Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter who has discussed the importance of the Yoruba language in his songs.
He remarked that because Yoruba is widely spoken and understood and because it is important to him, he enjoys singing in it.

According to Asake, who described music as a mood in an interview with NewsLive Prime, using music on a smartphone sometimes doesn’t require understanding it.
In his words;
“Yoruba is so important to me. To me the way I understand music is that it is a feeling”, he said.
