Nigerian Artistes Who Became Bigger After Leaving Their Record Label
This is the list of artistes who became bigger in their music career after leaving their record labels
1 . Kizz Daniel
Formerly known as Kiss Daniel, Oluwatobiloba Andugbe was in G Worldwide Entertainment record label. After a series of agreement breakdown and court cases, he had to leave the record label and changed his stage name to Kizz Daniel.
Years after leaving G Worldwide to establish his own record label, it is evident that Kizz Daniel fame and star has gone very high. Now he is among the most established artistes in Nigeria.
2 . Wizkid
Wizkid was signed to EME entertainment, he released his debut album Superstar under the label and recorded very huge success under the label. However, he left the label on mutual ground and years down the line, he has become bigger than he was under EME.
Arguably the most famous artiste in Africa, Wizkid has also gone global, he is now receiving the worthy admiration from international superstar.
3. Davido
Davido started under HKN music, there he released his frst album Omo Baba Olowo which enjoyed massive airplay and has the hot banger Dami Duro.
After leaving HKN to establish his own Davido Music World (DMW), Davido has enjoyed tremendous success and is perhaps the most famous Nigerian artiste worldwide.
4. Burna Boy
Burna Boy left Aristokrat record label to become one of the most popular artiste out of Nigeria.
Though he has already been famous, but leaving Aristokrat record has improved him to an enviable status.
5. 2Baba
Signed to Kennis Music at the start of his music career, 2face now 2Baba left after some years to establish Hypertek music group.
It should be suffice to say that the artiste has enjoyed massive success under Hypertek music group.
6. Tiwa Savage
This could raise eyebrows, but it is the fact, Tiwa Savage became bigger after leaving Mavin Record.
The acclaimed Africa Bad Girl flourished better after leaving Mavin Record, but she owe much of her success to Mavin Record as she released many of her club banger under the Don Jazzy managed record label.
7. Brymo
Brymo left Chocolate City to become a solo artiste and he has now evidently become bigger after leaving the record label.
Like Kizz Daniel, he had court issues with the label before leaving, however, the status he is now shows he has improved and has become bigger than he was.
8. BNXN
BNXN left Spaceship Entertainment in 2020 after releasing bangers like O Ta Lenu and Testimony.
From 2020 till now, it could be seen that BNXN has improved and has become bigger. He won the next rated award in 2022 and he is now on course to glory due to the success his songs are recording.
