Guinness World Records Declares Hilda Baci New Record Holder For World’s Longest Cooking Marathon

Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has been awarded record for world’s longest cooking marathon by the Guinness World Records.

The organization made this known via its official Twitter handle on Tuesday (June 13, 2023).

Hilda Baci, a 26-year-old Nigerian chef, began cooking on Thursday 11 May and continued through to Monday 15 May. She cooked over 100 pots of food in the course of setting a new world’s record previously held by an Indian chef.

The organization has officially recgnized Hilda Baci, whose full name is Hilda Effiong Bassey, the new record holder for the world’s longest cooking marathon.

The post read in part, ‘Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes’.
