Listen: Bnxn Releases Debut Album ‘Sincerely, Benson’
Nigerian singer Bnxn has finally released his much anticipated debut album, ‘Sincerely, Benson’, featuring 2Baba, Popcaan, Headie One, and more.
Bnxn started teasing ‘Sincerely, Benson’ last year, after he won the Headies’ Next Rated award in Atlanta and received a new Bentley car in return. He released ‘Gwagwalada’ (feat. Kizz Daniel and Seyi Vibez) on 16 Feb. 2023 as the first official single of the album.
Arriving on Thursday, 5 Oct. 2023, ‘Sincerely, Benson’ comprises a total of 15 tracks, including three pre-released singles (‘Gwagwalada’ [feat. Kizz Daniel & Seyi Vibez], ‘Pray’, and ‘Sweet Tea’).
The album boasts of a guest verse from the legendary Nigerian singer 2Baba, featured on track 14, ‘Regret’; and of two international features—[1] with British rapper Headie One, on track three, ‘Maximum Damage’—[2] with Jamaican singer Popcaan, on last track 15, ‘Final Answer’.
As Bnxn’s debut album, successively behind his EP ‘Bad Since ‘97’, he opted for purposive collaboration, featuring only artist (s) needed on a particular song in order that the album wouldn’t be overwhelmed by too many, and unnecessary, features.
