Daniel Regha Berates Wizkid’s “Morayo”: Calls It A Quantity Over Quality Album?

Controversial social influencer Daniel Regha is gathering attention again with his bold critique of Wizkid’s upcoming album, Morayo, set to drop on November 29th.

Known for his unfiltered opinions, Regha claims that the album prioritizes quantity over quality, describing it as “literally two songs divided into subparts.” He argues that although it might enjoy commercial success due to the hype surrounding it, it falls short of the high expectations fans have set.

Regha points out that many tracks feel repetitive and seem crafted solely for TikTok trends, lacking the spark that fans have come to expect from Wizkid. He specifically mentions the track “Bend,” which he believes exemplifies this issue. Although he acknowledges a couple of standout songs like “Pray” and “Kese (Dance),” he feels that most of the album consists of tracks that could have easily been left off previous projects.

The collaboration with Asake on “Bad Girl” is another point of contention for Regha. He describes it as a wasted opportunity where neither of the big artists shines despite their undeniable talent. He also expresses disappointment that no song is dedicated to Wizkid’s beloved mother, which he feels would have added a personal touch to the album. In his review,

Regha rates Morayo a mere 3.5 out of 10, crediting it mainly for its beats and experimentation with new sounds. He suggests it would have been more effective as an EP with just four to five tracks, emphasizing that less can indeed be more in the music industry.
