A member of the Nigerian Air Force team Umaru Abdul Ganimu has been killed and as his head was chopped off while passing through an active tail rotor of a military helicopter.
The incident took place in Bama, Borno State where he was deployed with others to fight Boko Haram insurgency.
There was no damage to the aircraft and Ganimu was buried thereafter according to Islamic tries at the Maimalari Military Cemetery in Maiduguri after his relatives were duly informed.
