Nigerian Artistes Who Come From Rich Homes (A Must Read)
This is a comprehensive list of Nigerian artistes who are from rich and prominent families. Some capitalized on this and built amazing careers, some relented. In an industry hugely characterized by testimonies of grass to grace.
7. Dice Ailes
Talented singer and songwriter Dice Ailes was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and even spend the better part of his childhood and teenage age in Canada.
He schooled in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, and Ghana then relocated to Canada where he studied at York University and also started his musical career before relocating back to Nigeria after his record deal with Chocolate City in 2014.
What his parents do is relatively unknown but it’s a fact some of the privileges he enjoyed in form of education isn’t cheap and a typical middle class family in Nigeria can’t afford such a Luxury.

6. Kach
Rapper “Kach” is the son of State Minister for Petroleum and NNPC boss Ibe Kachukwu He is a graduate of Business Administration from Bath Uni¬versity, UK.
Although, he hasn’t been in the Nigerian music scene for quite a while now. He is known for his songs “Wanted” and ”Dino”. He featured the controversial senator representing Kogi West Dino Melaye in the video of “Dino” which was dedicated to the senator.
The video of the song “DINO” received lots of Controversy and backlash from the public as The lavishness and flaunting of wealth in the video by Dino Melaye were attributed to corruption. He is clearly one of the artistes with wealthy parents as he had it pretty easy.

5. DJ Cuppy
Everyone knows how popular her family is. She is one of the daughters of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola. Dj Cuppy started off as a DJ and had all the support and Favours from her parents who are super rich.
She has on her own overseen many contracts and foundations funded by her father. She is living in extreme luxury. She is about to drop her debut album “Original Cuppy” soon. She also has a sister “Tolani” who is an even more talented singer.
4. B-Red & Shina Rambo
The two brothers who are cousins of the superstar “Davido” are children of the former senator Ademola Adeleke A.K.A the dancing senator. They were born in Atlanta, Geogia in the U.S.A to an already wealthy family. They are part owners of the music label HKN.
Despite all of these, they have struggled in the industry despite even the help of Davido couldn’t propel them to the top of the ever competitive Nigerian music Industry.
3. Falz The Bahd Guy
Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz is son of one of the richest barristers in Nigeria Femi Falana SAN who is worth over $80 million. He initially towed the line of his to be a lawyer but later opted for a career in music where he’s doing exceeding well. He is the owner of Bahd Guys Label.
He broke into the scene with the song Marry me ft. Yemi Alade. He has gone ahead to become one of the biggest artiste in Nigeria. His latest song “Bop Daddy” is currently one of the biggest songs out of the country right now.
2. Naeto C
Naetochukwu Chikwe known by his stage name Naeto C is one of the rappers who made hip hop mainstream in Nigeria. He enjoyed commercial successes with so many hits such “10 over 10”, “Kini big deal” etc
He is son of son of a prominent mum Kemafo Nonyerem “Kema” Chikwe who was former Nigerian Federal Minister of Aviation And also Minister For Transport under Obasanjo from 1999- 2003. She was also Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Irealand in 2009 and as well as Head of Jamb. She currently holds the position of National Women Leader of the Nigerian political party PDP.
The 37 years old rapper was born in Houston, Texas but had his basic education in Nigeria. He studied at The State University of New York College (SUNY) located in Old Westbury and later moved to George Washington University (GWU) where he graduated with a degree in Biology in 2004.
Despite the wealth of his parents, he went ahead to invest in his education and graduated with an MSc from Dundee University Scotland in 2010. He is equally an ambitious man. He was appointed by Imo state Governor Ihedioha as his Special Assistant to Lagos Laison. He remains Nigeria’s most respected hip hop figure till date.
1. Davido
The list cannot be complete without David Adeleke known professionally as Davido, son of billionaire business magnate Adedeji Adeleke who is worth over at $700 million. He is the last child of 5 siblings.
Davido struggled initially as his father didn’t approve of his music career. He had to huff and puff to finally make a breakthrough after the release of “Dami duro” he accepted his father’s advice to complete his education much later.
Davido despite coming from a wealthy Home, had to work so hard to earn a name for himself, he wasn’t spoilt by his father at an early age like most young brats which he said in his first official single “back when” in 2011.
Today, Davido is one of Nigeria’s biggest musician in Africa And globally because of his hard work and resilience to continue to succeed in the ever competitive music industry.
