Peruzzi VS Fireboy DML, Who is better in songwriting? With the introduction of the best songwriter category at the 14th Headies Award show, it is evident that songwriters are about to receive more credits for their jobs.
Nigerian popstar, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh who is mostly known as Peruzzi is one of Nigeria’s best songwriters. The former GoldenBoy Entertainment singer who joined Davido at Davido Music Worldwide sometime in 2019 has been one of the brains behind some hit songs in the country.
The ‘DMW vibe machine’ as he is fondly called has written so many songs for his record label boss, Davido including some other songs he did for himself. Songs like ‘Amaka’ featuring 2Baba, and ‘Majesty’ have some of the best lyrical contents.
25-year old Adedamola ‘Fireboy DML’ Adefolahan who joined Olamide’s YBNL in 2018 a year before releasing his debut album ‘Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps’ is also a great asset when discussing songwriting.
His debut album was hugely accepted for its lyrical power. The newly signed Empire Music singer and songwriter is a huge force in the Nigerian music scene giving us amazing songs like Champion featuring D Smoke, King, Jealous, and others.
