Omah Lay and Rema are amazing artistes. They have proved their abilities to make hit records time and again. And with a debut album set for release, we’re dancing all through 2022!
A debut album is the artiste’s most important body of work—it has to be perfect! This is why a lot of energy and money are spent on the artiste’s first album.
Some artistes release their debut album with the first single; some after the first and the second singles; and some after a mixtape or EP and several singles.
The latter seems to hold true in the cases of Rema and Omah Lay, both of whom are dropping their debut albums this year.
And, in all fairness, their fans have waited too long for them!
Rema’s last project, “Rema Compilation,” was released in 2020. Since then, he has released several “bangers,” like Woman, Peace of mind, Bounce, Soundgasm, and Calm down, his first single in 2022.
Omah Lay, on the other hand, dropped “What Have We Done” (his second EP) in 2020. And he also has a truckload of hit singles, such as Understand, Free my mind, and Attention, his first single in 2022, in which he featured Canadian Popstar Justin Bieber.
Rema’s debut album is titled “Rave and Roses” and set to release on March 25th, 2022. Rave and Roses promises to be a star-studded album, for Rema has been lately seen with international artistes, like Chris Brown, Lil NasX, Swaelee, and Jason Durelo.
Omah Lay’s debut album is titled “Boy Alone.” Although the release date for Boy Alone has yet to be announced, the album is confirmed to drop this year. On “Attention,” the first single off the album, Omah Lay worked with Justin Bieber. There is a rumor that Wizkid and Fireboy are on Boy Alone, though none of the artistes have confirmed it.
In any case, the fact remains that we’re getting both Omah Lay and Rema’s albums this year!
