An up-and-coming artist on Twitter has called out music star and owner of DMW Records, Davido for defrauding him of 150,000 naira.
The young aspiring artist, who’s simply identified as “flashboyDMW” by his Twitter profile, tweets series of messages, including bank transactional evidence, asking Davido and Asa Asika (Davido’s manager) to refund his money.
He states that he paid the sum of 150,000 naira through Asa as registration fee to attend DMW Records’ audition at Eko Hotels and Suites.
He adds that after wiring the money, he wasn’t signed by the record label. Hence, he wants a refund.
He also provides different screenshots as evidence.
In one of them, he was chatting with one ‘Davido Manager’ (as we can’t prove it was Asa at the moment) who sent him an audition code on WhatsApp.
In another one, he shows off the tweet where Davido announced the audition on his Twitter handle in January 2021, as well as evidence of payment (the bank alert).

Meanwhile, after thoroughly looking at his Twitter page, it was found that he has been posting similar videos and captions for some time.
As for DMW, nothing has been heard from them.
