On this same day, nine years ago April 22nd 2010, Nigeria’s legendary and most popular indigenous Yoruba rapper Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, also known as Dagrin, Barack O’Grin, Lyrical Werey, Fi mi le Jo while driving his Nissan Maxima 2008 model with the plate number DAGRIN 03 had a tragic accident which happened in the early hours on April 14, 2010 after his car collided with a stationary trailer (heavy-duty vehicle) in front of Alakara Police Station, off Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos. The famous Yoruba rapper’s death paved way for other indigenous rappers such as reminisce, Olamide and the likes.
