Burna Boy Puts Igbo Land on the Map with his New Song “Odogwu” – REVIEW
Self Acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy returns with a new vibe “Odogwu” telling the story of how he was warmly welcomed in Igbo land.
‘Odogwu’ is simple a name given to fearless warriors in the old igbo tradition celebrating their braveness and skill. It is automatically given to any fellow who is a professional in his field and has amassed several records to back up his technical know-how.
Burna Boy narrates a story of how he was named ‘Odogwu’ on his visit to Igbo land. The name must have captured his interests which led to its infusion into his new sound.
The Kel P produced beat is classic, with melodic chords evidently associated with Igbo traditional high life sounds. Burna Boy once more comes out clean with his seductive lyrics and groovy voice.
‘Odogwu’ by Burna Boy is a hit song. It has been on repeat and it’ll only be right to say that anyone who hasn’t listened to this new vibe is missing out.
Considering the global and international stage Burna Boy has attained, I boldly believe “Odogwu” has been able to put back Igbo land to the global map.
