COVID-19: Lockdown to End on May 4th – President Buhari Reveals
President Mohammadu Buhari is revealed the coronavirus pandemic lockdown will be relaxed on May 4th.
Buhari made this known while addressing the nation on Monday night. He thanked Governors and religious bodies for their support so far. The president gave an update on how the country has been able to curtail the spread of the virus revealing Nigeria has trained over 10,000 health workers to tackle coronavirus.

According to President Mohammadu Buhari, the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja ends on 4th May and curfew follows.
For the avoidance of doubt, the lockdown in the FCT, Lagos and Ogun States shall remain in place until these new ones come into effect on Monday, 4th May 2020.

The Presidential Task Force shall provide sector specific details to allow for preparations by Governments, businesses and institutions.

To support our businesses and traders, the monetary and fiscal authorities shall deploy all the necessary provisions needed for production to continue and thus, jobs restored.
