In the past few years, labels owned by Artistes themselves have been blossoming and breaking new grounds, this is the story of DMW and YBNL who have produced stars as well as hit songs.
Davido announced in 2016, a new label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) was born. The label signed the likes of Dremo, Mayorkun, Peruzzi and Yonda. This set of artiste has gone on to become the backbone of the label churning out hit songs back to back.
On the other hand, Olamide’s YBNL an acronym for Yahoo Boy No Laptop was created back in 2012. The label has produced stars such as Lil kesh, Adekunle Gold, Lyta and now Fireboy. The label has never being bereft of amazing talents.
