South African Singer Sho Madjozi Accuses Burna Boy Of Removing “Own It” Remix
South African Singer Sho Madjozi has made a strong accusation claiming Burna boy connived with U.K rapper Stormzy to take down the remix of “Own it” which she featured in from streaming platforms.
The singer alleged that he did it to weaken her chances of claiming the “Best International Act” category of the BET awards which she is nominated alongside Burna boy and others.
Burna boy has responded and claims the song isn’t his own and the song was not properly cleared by Atlantic Records. He also stated that this has nothing to do with him or the BET awards and asked her to reach out professionally.
To believe this I would have to believe that:
1. The song got automatically flagged a month late by coincidence
2. When they said YOU wanted it down they meant your label
3. A big international label would release a song without clearing it
It’s a lot Burna. Let’s keep it ? https://t.co/pmxuZTYRke

The “John Cena” crooner claimed the song was taken down after she got complaint from fans about not being able to find the song on all streaming platforms just two days after a he got nominated alongside Burna boy.
I could be wrong. Maybe he has other reasons. But BET announcement was on June 15th and by June 17th I was getting complaints from fans saying they can’t find it.
Either way, spirits up ✨ pic.twitter.com/QU66iICG1D

She also claimed she has been bullied and said she hopes the judges judge right as she is the only woman on the Best International Act Category” at the BET awards.
This world is full of bullies. If I leave any message at all from the life I’ve lived, I hope it’s to not be discouraged and to not be intimidated. To stay loving, kind and honest in the face of cruelty.
