The MTV Video Music Award 2020 was held on the 30th of August 2020. Even with the pandemic rampaging the world, MTV still manage to hold the award in its usual month with glamour and glitz as it has become it’s custom.

The video music award was held virtually with performers in different locations at New York City to light up the show, as the organisers were able to get an exemption for performers coming from the hot zones of the pandemic.

Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and BTS led the night, taking home four awards each after Gaga and Grande each entered with nine nominations.

Gaga also took home the first MTV Tricon Award, while The Weeknd won video of the year for “Blinding Lights.”
