Is Wizkid’s Made In Lagos Album Really About Lagos City? Check This Out

Made In Lagos is arguably the most successful music album out of Africa so far, from the awards it has won to the nominations. However, there has been reactions from tweeps as to whether the album showcase anything about Lagos. Does MIL really about the city of Lagos? Read on

When people hear the album title, what many expect is that the contents of the song will portray the hustle and bustle of Lagos, the never ending chaos and images of the city that never goes to sleep. Though some of these were missing, however one of track in the album showed the hustling part of Lagos City.

The track Blessed where Wizkid featured Damian Marley starts with the noise of market women hawking “cold minerals, cold pure water”. This alone is enough proof to show anyone who says Wizkid’s MIL album did not talk about Lagos.
