‘Not Smoking Is Impossible In This Music Industry’ — Rapper Blaqbonez Reveals Secret About Nigerian Music Industry
Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez reveals that it is impossible for artists to stay away from smoking in the Nigerian music industry.
The Chocolate City’s rapper whose real name is Emeka Akumefule and who’s known professionally as Blaqbonez made this revelation on Tuesday (August 30) via his verified Twitter handle.
The 26-year-old, who is known for his bluntness and cruise on the Twitter platform, affirms that almost all artists in the Nigerian music industry smoke.
In his tweet, Blaqbonez points out that smoking ‘igbo’ is impossible for artists in the Nigerian music industry. ‘Igbo’ is also known as ‘weed’.
Logically, Blaqbonez is right, as many Nigerian artists—like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Naira Marley— often show photos of themselves smoking ‘weed’ either in a club or music video.
