Fast-rising Nigerian singer Shallipopi has released the official video for his viral hit song ‘Ex Convict’.
Some minutes ago, the Benin-born artist, Shallipopi (real name Crown Uzama) released the video for ‘Ex Convict’ on his official channel on YouTube.
The video, released today (August 21), is directed by top-rated Nigerian director TG Omori, and features myriad scenes that complement the title and lyrics of the song–a prison with different inmates, including Shallipopi.
Shallipopi released ‘Ex Convict’ shortly after being released from prison, having been arrested for fraud by the Nigeria’s EFCC; the song went viral, became an instant street hit, and ended up on his later released debut EP ‘Planet Pluto’, which has accumulated millions of streams.
