Burna Boy Ties Davido’s Record On US Apple Music With ‘I Told Them’ Album
Nigerian music star Burna Boy has tied a record set by his colleague Davido on the US Apple Music chart with his new album ‘I Told Them’.
The 2020 Grammy winner of Best Global Music Album, Burna Boy released his seventh album ‘I Told Them’ Friday, 25 Aug. 2023, consisting of features with J. Cole, Dave, Seyi Vibez, among others.
‘I Told Them’ has now peaked at number two on the Apple Music Top Albums chart of the United States, joining ‘Timeless’ in a shared record as the highest peaking African albums ever on the chart.
Early this year, award-winning Nigerian music star Davido set the record with his fourth album ‘Timeless’ as the first ever African artist having an album peak at number two on the US Apple Music Top Albums chart; he’s now joined by Burna Boy with ‘I Told Them’.
