Big Brother Naija All Stars: Ilebaye’s Long walk To Victory
Ilebaye emerges the winner of the Big Brother Naija All Stars and this is our opinion about the Kogi born long walk to victory.
Ilebaye started the show as one of the underdogs, Ilebaye Odiniya is the last housemate anyone would tip to win the Big Brother Naija All Stars; she came into the house without a fanbase unlike Spartans for Cee-C and Mercenaries for Mercy Eke. She was largely predicted to be evicted by the fourth week at most. The clear favorite among so many viewers has always been either Mercy Eke or Cee-C and perhaps Whitemoney.
The game started and every housemates started playing their cards, Ilebaye to the opinion of many carved a name by priding herself as Gen Z baddie, a name many of the addicted watchers of the show relate with as they fell into the Gen Z category.
Being the youngest in the house, Ilebaye used her young and smart strategy to wow fans by showing energy and not failing to confront whoever stood against her. Still, this doesn’t convince many people.
The week that many Nigerians and BBN lovers across the world came together to support Ilebaye was the 6th week of the show; this is the week where many believe she was bullied by Ike Onyeama and some other housemates. Her wardrobe was disorganized and her clothes scattered over the floor.
To the surprise of many, she didn’t talk nor shout, rather she picked her clothes but everyone could see the pain and fury in her eyes, yet she managed to bottle up her anger. This was the turning week for her, and that is when many vowed to vote for her to win.
Ilebaye fought with many housemates yet she make up with almost everyone of them – this further increased the viewers’ love for her hence when she was announced the winner with over 30% votes, it didn’t came as a shock.
This is a long walk to freedom; a journey of fear, faith, failure and most importantly hope and quality relationship. We say a very big congratulations to Ilebaye aka Gen Z Baddie.
