I Got Tired Of Music After My Coachella Performance In 2019 – Mr Eazi
Afrobeats singer Mr Eazi has disclosed that his blank feeling to his performance at the 2019 Coachella influenced his decision to pause music and become an entrepreneur.
He said this in an interview on Way Up when asked why he went into Tech.
Mr Eazi, who began his professional music journey in 2016 and then won Headies’ Next Rated award, said that after performing at the Coachella in 2019, he felt ‘nothing’.
Coachella, at which many artists only dream of performing, Mr Eazi got to perform there in 2019 (three years into his career!), but he had a blank feeling to it.
‘After Coachella… like I played the first day of Coachella,’ he said, ‘and I came down from the stage and I felt nothing. No happiness, no sadness.’
He continued, stating he accepted the empty emotion felt after Coachella as a sign to quit or pause and do something else; and that when COVID-19 broke out, he was already tired of even listening to music, so he let his team manage his music business while he went into entrepreneurship.
