Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ Goes Gold In France In Less Than 5 Months
Nigerian singer-songwriter Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has earned a gold certification for his single ‘Calm Down’ in France.
According to SNEP, Rema‘s 2022-released single ‘Calm Down’ has passed the threshold for the eligibility for a gold certicate in France.
This means that ‘Calm Down‘, which appeared on Rema‘s 2022 debut album, ‘Rave & Roses’, has sold 100,000 units (equivalent to 15,000,000 streams) in the French country.
Rema himself confirmed the recipient of the gold certificate taking to his verified page on Twitter and tweeting a thank-you message to France nationals for being supportive and streaming the song, whose video is currently nearing 73 million views on YouTube in only under five months!
Released on February 11, 2022, ‘Calm Down’ has earned a gold in France in less than 5 months.
It has also become his second song to be certified gold in France. ‘Dumebi’, which appeared on his first EP titled ‘Rema‘, also went gold in France. He was in Paris recently to receive the gold plaque for ‘Dumebi’.
Congratulations to Rema as ‘Calm Down’ goes gold in France!
