THROWBACK: Blackface – African Queen (Remix)
Since Blackface vs 2Baba is the current trending topic in Nigeria after the release of Blackface’s 2face Diss Song couple days ago, we thought it was good to remind you the genesis of their disagreement.
Early in 2004 2face Idibia dropped is debut album Face 2 Face after the band Plantashun Boiz broke up leaving each band members Faze, Blackface and 2Face to pursue a solo career.
When 2face’s album dropped it featured the song African Queen which became a major hit song all over the world, then Blackface claimed to be the original writer of the song and that due permission was not taken from him before the release of the song and ever since then, their friendship went bitter.
Blackface entered the studio the same year and made his own version of African Queen titled My African Queen.
