Afrobeat Singer Seun Kuti Handcuffed, Placed Under Arrest
Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has turned himself in for assaulting a policeman and has been placed under arrest.
This was made known in a statement by Police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Monday (May 15) via Twitter.
Recall that Seun Kuti was caught in a viral video pushing and slapping a policeman in uniform on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
The IGP, yesterday, ordered his immediate arrest. However, the perpetrator spoke through his lawyer, Femi Falana, that he would turn himself in today.
Seun Kuti turned himself in earlier today at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters and was placed under arrest, according to a statement by SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
