Court Grants Seun Kuti ‘Suspended Bail’ Hours After His Arrest
Singer, Seun Kuti has been granted bail by the Nigeria police force.
The singer who was arrested by Nigeria Police Force for allegedly assaulting a police officer has been granted bail hours after arrest.
Represented by the ace Femi Falana, Seun Kuti was granted bail on Tuesday. The Chief Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos State, granted bail to Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti. The court also directed police to investigate the alleged attack on a police officer within 48 hours.
However the bail is a ‘Suspended Bail’ as the accused still need to fulfill some criteria before being granted a full bail. The singer was granted bail in the sum of one million Naira “with two responsible sureties, a three years tax payment receipt that is verifiable; one of the sureties must have a landed property within the court jurisdiction.
