Mohbad Once Attempted Suicide – Naira Marley
Marlian Music’s Naira Marley has revealed that his late ex-signee Mohbad once locked himself and attempted suicide.
He told this never-heard-before story in a virtual interview with former presidential spokesperson, Mr Reno Omori on Wednesday evening.
Naira Marley has been implicated in the untimely death of Mohbad, 27, who passed away in an unclear situation on September 12.
This implication is partly because Mohbad, during a raid of his apartment by NDLEA, mentioned in a live video that should anything happen to him, Naira Marley and Marlian Music were responsible.
Speaking to Omokri about the video Mohbad made, Naira Marley said he didn’t know why his name was mentioned in the video, because he spoke with Mohbad after the video incident, when his (Mohbad’s) girlfriend called that he locked himself in the toilet to commit suicide.
‘There was another time when I was in America and his girl called me to say he locked himself in the toilet and he wanted to kill himself or something like that’, said Naira Marley.
He shared a video from the conversation he had with Mohbad that day, during the live interview.
‘So, I called him from there and recorded the conversation, asking him: “Why did you want to kill yourself? You are a king, if your family is stressing you out [because this time, he was with his family and all his family was around him] just tell them to chill, you can do what you want to do, do not stress yourself, if you kill yourself now, what do you want people to say.” I was so concerned so I called him to try to give him rest of mind’.

An autopsy was carried out on Mohbad recently, and the result is going to be out ‘soon’, according to the Nigeria Police Force.
