If Kanye West, Drake & Kendrick Lamar Drop Their Albums On The Same Day, Who’s Project Are You Picking First?
The social media space is in Frenzy since the announcement of Kendrick dropping his project TDE this year. This is coming after Drake and Kanye already lined up their projects for this year.
When it comes to release dates, Kanye and Drake don’t like clashes or interruptions with any other heavyweight. They like to take the wave and social media hypes and trends that comes with such projects.
Kanye West has been enjoying a lot of buzz lately after the announcement of his massive project “Donda”. He practically is dominating the social media space and even slept in the concert stadium for days and generated money by just allowing people watch him sleep! God damn!
You see, it’s almost like shooting yourself in the foot dropping a project same time as he does. He takes all the shine but he’s also wary of Drake’s “Certified lover boy” which has dragged a little too long. It was announced last year but we got an EP-Scary hours, which fans don’t seem to be satisfied with.
Some rappers don’t care about buzz, JCole and Nas dropped earlier projects. At some point, “Kings disease 2” has same release date as Kanye’s “Donda”. NAS went on to release on that date but Kanye pushed his. Earlier in the year, JCole dropped “The Off Season” and it is doing amazing.
Let’s assume we have a three-some album release by these heavyweights, who’s are you going for first?
