The first case of the Coronavirus pandemic in Rivers has been registered. This is coming from the official handle of the National Centre For Disease Control (NCDC).
The new cases includes 2 in Abuja, 2 In Lagos and 1 case in Rivers State making it 5 New cases in total. This means the Toll has increased to 51 across the federation in total as at 11:25 pm Yesterday 25th March 2020.
According to sources, 3 of the New cases are travelers who recently arrived Nigeria, while the 2 others had close contacts with the confirmed case.
Just recently, the Governor of Rivers made laws banning all land, air and water travels into the state indefinitely to prevent the virus spreading into the state. He threatened not to allow travelers access into the state even after arriving at the international airport.
He also explained how a traveler was prevented from gaining access into the state just recently.
