Wike Demolishes Hotels In Rivers State For Violating Lockdown

River State Governor Nyesom Wike ordered and supervised the demolition of hotels in Rivers state believed to have violated the Lockdown order by the Governor.

One of the identified hotel is Prodest Hotel in Eleme local Government. The Governor had earlier made threats to impound vehicles as well as demolish buildings by offenders and he just started taking action.

This action by the governor has been seen as tyrant and extreme but what do you think about this.

Do you think he should or has the right to undertake such an action?

The governor of Rivers state demolished the two hotels in Eleme LGA by using Executive powers 1 to 6 as passed by the state assembly. Hence his action is covered by that executive bill that has been passed by the state assembly. Hence the law covers and protects him.

True that they need strong hands ..but going to destroy a property owned by a struggling citizen will also breed restiveness and more aggression from the people.

Yes people will say different calling him names, yes he did wrong by demolishing hotels..,but still remember that governor wike does not play with his state and people suppose to know that. (Life is better than material things) But the Gospel truth is that, nigerian need a change. People no longer obey the laws of the country, leader’s governors president do what they like, everybody do what they like… Which is very very bad. Honestly we all need better Nigerians.

Nigerian needs a better and discipline president

How on earth does he has such a right to do that demolish someone’s suffer of years that’s total wickedness….What happened to sealing of the building instead…the owner should not relent he or she must go ahead to sew him for violation of human right. Wike is a tyrant not a governor. This is completely unacceptable.
