3 Days #EndSARS Protest Kicks Off In Lagos (See Video)
Residents of Lagos have kicked off a 3 day protest to call for the abolishment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police Force.
The Protest was planned to push a reform in the Nigerian Police System to end in it’s entirety the extra Judicial activities of the System.
According to the protesters, the action is slated to commence today – Wednesday through Friday and would end with a March to the Force Headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos and the Lagos State Government House.

An organiser of the protest revealed that the demands of the protesters includes the following:
- Transparent prosecution of all officers involved in extra Judicial activities
- A list of all officers found guilty of extra-judicial activities
- Public enquiry on the activities of the unit in the past year
- Compensation to be given to verifiable victims both dead and alive
- Tags on all police personnel with names and job titles
- No police officer should be found with civil outfit while on duty with ammunitions
- Police should stop going around in unidentifiable vehicles
Popular Musician, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley was supposed to lead a similar #EndSARS protest but cancelled at the last minute for reasons best known to him.
